About Us

The Association for Well-Being, Peace and Enlightenment (AWPE), a Nova Scotia-registered non-profit organization (#4650718), will build a two-story, 3,000 sq ft Well-Being Education Centre on its 13.96 acres  at South Wallace Bay, NS (construction to begin Spring 2026). 

The Centre will be a dedicated space to address the well-being needs of the general population including mental wellness, social and physical well-being, healthy inter-personal relationships, responsible community involvement, and environmental stewardship. 

 

Under the combined aegis of the Global Country of World Peace (GCWP) and the Canadian Women for Wellness Initiative (CWWI), the following well-being programs and activities, online and in person, shall be offered to the people of Cumberland County and the entire Atlantic Canada region.

 

A) Lifelong Learning Programs will be offered to raise the individual’s awareness for healthy life choices resulting in increased well-being and satisfaction in life, enhancing the individual’s ability to appreciate their environment and their place in it. This is called consciousness-based education. Some of our program offerings are as follows:

  • Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle prevention-oriented programs for family health including Creating Balance through Ayurveda to improve one’s health, Prevention-Oriented Heart Health and Hypertension Management, Mother-Baby Program for post-partum health, Brain Health for Ageing Well, Ayurvedic Approach to Weight Loss and Diabetes Management, Menopause Relief, Dharma Parenting for raising happy and successful children.  The World Health Organization recognizes Ayurveda as the world’s oldest holistic health system using diet and lifestyle. https://www.miu.edu/introduction-to-mav-course 

  • Ayurvedic Cooking classes focused on organic, seasonal foods to improve and maintain good health for preventative self care through delicious Ayurvedic meals 

  • Yoga and Breathwork classes to gain deep rest and renewal 

  • Vedic Architecture classes introducing time-tested architectural principles to improve the health, happiness and productivity of the inhabitants, and transform sick buildings into healthy, life-supporting buildings.   • Organic Community Gardens and classes introducing Vedic Organic Agriculture to increase crop production and nutritional content https://mcphi.org/vedic-agriculture/ 

  • Music Therapy using ancient science in modern application: Gandharva Veda combines timeless wisdom with modern scientific approaches to provide effective stress-relief solutions. https://mcphi.org/maharishi-ayurveda-gandharva-veda-therapy/  

  • Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique: This universal, non-religious, evidence-based practice (over 700 published studies on the benefits of TM in mind, body and behavior) reduces stress and burnout and boosts mental health, resulting in enhanced resilience, creativity, overall well-being, improved inter-personal relationships, personal growth and life satisfaction.https://tm.org.au/transcendental-meditation-can-increase-life-satisfaction-research/

  • TM Retreats for groups, providing deep rest, release of stress, inner quiet and clarity of thought, allowing the individual to return to their daily activity with more energy, happiness and purpose.

B) In partnership with the Canadian Women for Wellness Initiative (CWWI) (https://canadianwomenswellness.ca) which has been offering the TM program (https://tm-women.ca/) over the past several years through grants from the Department of National Defence, Veterans Affairs Canada and the Province of Alberta, the Centre will offer programs in chronic areas of need such as:
